Job Description
As a Building Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for driving 500-2000 miles a week to various commercial outlet stores within the region to perform and complete work orders for maintenance. Your tasks will include painting, plumbing, electrical, masonry, cleaning, welding, drywall, and working with locks. You must communicate effectively with customers and be technically proficient to complete work orders. The role mainly involves working independently, though assistance can be requested for specific projects.
Responsibilities
Drive 500-2000 miles weekly to commercial outlet stores to perform maintenance tasks.
Complete work orders in areas such as painting, plumbing, electrical, masonry, cleaning, welding, drywall, and locks.
Communicate effectively with customers regarding work orders and project requirements.
Work independently, with the ability to call for assistance on specific projects.
Use the ADP app to log hours, document work, and communicate internally.
Maintain and utilize a work van, SUV, or truck to transport tools and equipment.
Essential Skills
5+ years of commercial electrical experience, including troubleshooting light poles, changing breakers, and soldering.
5+ years of residential/commercial plumbing experience, including drain cleaning and changing toilets, sinks, and faucets.
Experience with painting, including touch-ups, hand brushes, and spray guns.
Experience with drywall hanging and finishing, including Level 5 finish capabilities.
Experience with masonry, including working with brick and stone.
Experience with welding, including MIG, stick, and spot welds.
Experience with residential and commercial pad locks and electrical locks.
Comfortable with driving 500-2000 miles a week and working in a traveling position.
Valid driver's license, proof of insurance, and ownership of a work van, SUV, or truck.
Proficient in using hand tools such as an angle grinder, tape measure, multimeter, channel locks, circular saw, drywall tools, claw/mini sledge hammer, crescent wrenches, sander, impact driver, speed square, receptacle tester, needle nose pliers, socket/ratchet set, reciprocating saw, drill/driver, levels, non-contact voltage tester, lineman pliers, and oscillating saw.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Steel toe boots recommended (any boot is fine).
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as masks, respirators, harnesses, goggles, and gloves will be provided based on the project.

Work Environment
The work schedule is from 7am to 6pm, Monday to Friday, with a 30-minute lunch break. Saturday work is voluntary if there is a backlog. Overtime of 10-20 hours per week is common. Initial training lasts for 5 days. The role involves both indoor and outdoor work, connecting with supervisors, logging hours and work orders, and traveling 500-2000 miles a week while driving your own vehicle.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $30.00/hr.
