Kellanova Senior Manager, Channel Strategy in Naperville, Illinois

Advance your career as a Senior Manager, Channel Strategy. In this role you will have an opportunity to support our Grocery Channel, nationally. As a strategic and integral part of the Channel Strategy team, you will work closely with the cross-functional teams on long-term strategy and growth in your channel. This is a fully remote position and can be located anywhere in the United States. This role will also include occasional travel.

You will own the responsibility for the successful development and implementation of the strategy across the channel to drive performance. Utilizing your expertise, you will assist in developing long term strategic priorities and executing sales plans that meet revenue goals for both Kellanova and the channel.

A Taste of What You’ll Be Doing

  • Channel Strategy – Proactively uncovering opportunities and connecting learnings across the organization will be key to your success. You will be comfortable with gathering insights, across various sources, to enable the long-term strategy within the Grocery channel.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration – It is critical for this individual to be able to partner and influence a group of diverse functions and ensure they are all working towards progressive initiatives. You will be working across Sales, Business Development, Commercial Strategy, Category Strategy, Insights & Analytics, and Brand to ensure the proper execution of the strategies is put into place.

  • Inclined to Take Action - This role will require you to be comfortable driving a project forward even when you don’t have all the required information or instructions. You’ll adopt an entrepreneur’s mindset; through your initiative, curiosity, and persistence, you will figure it out and advance our projects and brands.

  • Business Insights - Proactively analyze and make strategic and tactical recommendations based on a review of performance data and consumer buying behavior. Your recommendations based on post-activity and/or competitive landscape assessments will set the team up for success.

  • Customer Segmentation - Own Customer Segmentation, including transitioning it from a yearly budgeting exercise to a multi-year process that informs shifts in resources, personnel, capabilities, and budgeting.

    We’re Looking for Someone With

  • Significant experience in Category strategy, Category manager, or implementing key strategic business initiatives.

  • Previous experience communicating complex and detailed information to multiple individuals or audiences with differing knowledge levels, both in writing and verbally.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and previous experience utilizing syndicated data tools like Nielsen, IRI and industry tools such as Kantar.

  • Must have the ability to work in conditions that include multiple and sometimes conflicting priorities, extended work schedules, and specific time constraints .

  • Ability to lead, align, resolve conflict, and influence change in an ever-changing environment.

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
