The Westmoor Club Bartender in Nantucket, Massachusetts

Date of need: Date: May 13, 2024 to October 15, 2024 Four (4) full-time, temporary Bartenders One (1) year of front-of-house experience in a fine-dining or high-volume environment at a high-end restaurant, resort, or private club required. Wage: \$22.00 - \$24.00 per hour, paid weekly. Overtime is available at \$33.00 - \$36.00 per hour. 35 hours per week. Work schedule can vary and can include evening, weekend and holiday hours. Work may be performed on any day of the week from Monday through Sunday. Example shifts: 8:00am to 3:00pm, 11:00am to 6:00pm, or 3:00pm to 10:00pm. Shift hours may vary.? ?A single workweek will be used to compute wages due.? ? Will be responsible for stocking the bar with beer, wine, liquor, and related supplies, setting up the bar and dining areas, taking and placing guest orders, serving food and mixing and serving drinks to patrons (directly or through waitstaff), charging member accounts for food and drinks served, and cleaning tables and the bar area, as well as glasses, utensils, and bar equipment.?Will report directly to the Food and Beverage Director at The Westmoor Club. ?Applicant must complete pre-employment background check.?All worksites located in Nantucket, Massachusetts.? Travel throughout this area is required. Transportation between worksites is provided.?Daily transportation to and from worksites is not provided.?On-the-job training is not provided. The Westmoor Club has been granted a Seasonal Business Overtime Exemption for the 2024 season that is valid from May 26, 2024 to October 5, 2024.?Therefore, overtime is available at 1.5x the regular wage rate, \$33.00 - \$36.00 per hour paid weekly, May 13, 2024 until May 25, 2024 and from October 6, 2024 until October 15, 2024 (the periods not covered by the Seasonal Business Overtime Exemption). Overtime hours are optional, and when worked, will be paid at the regular wage rate, \$22.00 - \$24.00 per hour paid weekly, from May 26, 2024 to October 5, 2024 when the Seasonal Business Overtime Exemption is in force.?Employee may be eligible for additional compensation in the form of a discretionary end-of year bonus, depending on employee performance and whether the employee completed the employment period.? Optional housing is offered for workers who are relocating to begin employment. Cost of housing, if accepted, is up to \$100.00 - \$125.00 per week, depending on room type. If used, the total cost of housing will be deducted from paycheck. For returning employees, housing cost may be discounted by 50%, or provided at no cost, depending on years of service. A \$250.00 refundable security deposit is required, to be deducted from paycheck in equal \$25.00 installments from employee\'s first ten (10) paychecks.?All deductions from paycheck required by law will be made. If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, employer will pay directly for and/or reimburse workers for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for worker\'s reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The employer will pay directly for and/or reimburse workers for all reasonable inbound transportation and subsistence costs within the first workweek. The employer will pay directly for and/or reimburse workers for all reasonable outbound transportation and subsistence costs during the last workweek. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of \$15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of \$59.00 per day with receipts.
