A Day in the Life

As a member of the MEIC you will collaborate with the broader Medical Devices engineering teams in the US. You will enable design & development of medical devices/products and the associated infrastructure & capability building elements in close conjunction with the Global teams.

Our business is growing significantly as the market demands reliable medical devices which look and feel more like consumer devices. As a result, we need a Mechanical Engineer who will ensure we deliver the best on-time and with high quality for our product.

  1. Should be able to manage a project / process with an ability of achieving the excellence on promised deliverable.

  2. Well experienced in working with global counter parts and have a proven record of elevating the business engagement to further heights.

  3. Capable of mentoring /coaching the young engineers by offering technical and interpersonal insights.

  4. Hands on experience in resolving conflicts with confident in a team and cross functional group level.

  5. Capable of reviewing the peers work and establish the measuring mechanism to demonstrate the continuous improvement.

  6. Knowledge on all the phases of product development and its corresponding deliverables .

  7. Good exposure on R&D deliverables – Concepts, Drawings and Analytical work.

  8. Should perform engineering calculations and analysis to improve/validate product designs on a need basis

  9. Should Run Finite Element Analysis, Mechanism Design and Analysis, Mold Flow etc to validate product designs on a need basis

  10. Responsible for supporting the Product Development Team with application of design engineering to new product design.

  11. Should perform making 2D drawings per ASME Standards with sound knowledge on GD&T

  12. Should create 3D CAD Models using Creo either from scratch or able to edit the complex models

  13. Strong Understanding of medical device standards , guidelines and regulations per ISO 13485, ISO 14971 and Design controls ( 21 CFR Part 820).

Must Have :

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 13 to 16 years of design experience.

  2. Proven record of managing / leading the colleagues/peers.

  3. Proficient in Concept Development, Prototyping and Benchmark Testing, CAD Tools

4. Excellent Communications – Written and Verbal

Nice to Haves

1. Medical Device Experience

2. Master’s degree

3. GD&T Certification

4. Cetol

5. ANSYS or any equivalent Prediction Software
