The Karcher Family Medicine Clinic is hiring for a full-time, team-oriented and personable Medical Assistant!

Position Summary & Highlights

• This position will work 1:1 with a very busy family practice provider and will also support family medicine providers and a team of other MAs and RNs when needed.

What You Will Do :

• You will primarily support a very busy family practice provider and will also support family medicine providers and a team of other MAs and RNs when needed.

• In addition to typical MA duties, you will administer immunizations, assisting with minor procedures such as circumcisions,

• Complete tasks and orders in the task inbox, and also have the opportunity to be crossed trained in Urgent Care to help cover or float to these clinics.

• An ideal candidate for this position enjoys working in a fast paced environment, likes working in a strong team environment, has effective communication skills and enjoys learning new things.

Work Schedule :

• This position will work Mondays – Fridays, 6:45am – 3:15pm.

• Shift start and end time can vary based on provider's schedule and clinic needs.

MA Minimum Qualifications :

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

• MA certification required within 90 days of eligibility to take a national certification exam from one of the following Saint Alphonsus approved agencies:

• American Association of Medical Assistants (CMA)

• American Medical Technologists (RMA)

• National Healthcare Association (CCMA)

• National Center for Competency Testing (NCMA)

• American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA)

• Completion of either 6 months MA experience or completion of 100-hour MA externshipis required even with MA certification.

• Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire.

• *Obtaining the MA certification typically requires completing an MA Program or working as a Medical Assistant for at least 1 year. See each of the credentialing organization sites for additional details. EMT or CNA certifications will not count towards an MA certification.
