Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Tool & Die Maker. .​

The hourly rate for this position is $25.00 - $31.15 per hour.

What you’ll do:

Specialize in the construction, alteration, and repair of complex tools, equipment, dies, fixtures, gauges, etc., requiring a high degree of specialized skill and knowledge of machining and tool building practices.

• Sets up and operates conventional and special-purpose machining centers to fabricate metallic and nonmetallic parts and fits and assembles machined parts into complete units

• Applying knowledge of machine shop theory and procedures, shop mathematics, machine-ability of materials and layout techniques

• Studies blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpiece, sequence of operations and setup requirements

• Measures, marks and scribes dimensions and reference points on material or workpiece as guides for subsequent machining

• Selects, aligns and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories and materials on machines, such as mills, lathes, jig borers, grinders and shapers

• Ensures compliance with all safety and housekeeping practices and company policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

Education and experience equivalent to completion of an accredited apprenticeship program or High school diploma or GED with a two year related technical college education

1 year machining experience

Skills:

Must have knowledge of shop mathematics, working properties of various metals and steels, and be capable of shaping parts to precise dimensions.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to work well with little to no supervisor

• Individual contributor, drive and self-motivation
