Eaton Corporation Machine Operator - 2nd shift in Nacogdoches, Texas

Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Machine Operator - 2nd shift. ​

The hourly rate for this position is $17.50 per hour.

What you’ll do:

Job Summary

Sets up, adjusts and operates various welding machines, presses shears, brakes, flanges and expanders.

Job Responsibilities

• Execute tasks across various work centers, including bottom welding (including perforated LVB holes), projection welding (including LVB holes), seam welding (including flanging), layout (including rod stacking), horn presses, hanging, cover punching, paint booth operations, and tank unhang procedures.

• Position, hang, and remove transformer tanks and associated parts from a powered overhead conveyor line.

• Perform routine machine upkeep, work from specified lists (oven pick list, PQP, VOP, IDP, verbal instructions), operate welding equipment (MIG wire feed), utilize manual and powered hand tools, and use simple measuring devices.

• Manually handle medium-heavy weight materials, operate hoists and other material handling equipment (including powered industrial trucks).

• Receive training in safe chemical handling, proper disposal of waste materials, and adherence to safety, quality, and operating instructions.

• Safely operates overhead cranes and hoisting equipment to move materials, components, and finished products within the manufacturing facility. Adheres to safety protocols and ensures efficient material handling.

• Actively participates in problem-solving processes, contributing to efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement within the organization.

• Achieves and maintains target production rates or output levels, ensuring efficient operations and meeting organizational goals.

• Adhere to safety protocols, housekeeping practices (5S+), and company policies and procedures.

• Perform other manufacturing duties as assigned.

Years and area of experience required

• Relevant experience preferred.

Skills:

Technical knowledge

• Ability to perform basic mathematical functions as required.

• Ability to operate industrial equipment, welding equipment, and hand tools

Physical Requirements

• Lift up to 40 lbs. and perform physical tasks such as bending, twisting, grabbing, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, and using both hands to lift and lower materials, with or without accommodations.
