About the Role:

The Model Governance Analyst will be a part of the Model Risk Management (MRM) Team at Umpqua Bank. This role will report directly to the Model Governance Manager as part of the Model Governance Team.

This role will actively engage all levels of management across the Bank’s three lines of defense. The right person for this role is interested in making a difference, has a willingness to learn, can adapt to shifting priorities and competing deadlines, and can communicate complex information to non-technical audiences.

  • Provide project support for all of MRM’s model validation projects.

  • Maintain workflows, templates, meeting and training materials, reporting dashboards, programs, policies, procedures, and standards.

  • Maintain MRM’s model database using the Bank’s GRC solution, LogicManager. (GRC experience preferred, but not required.)

  • Demonstrates compliance with all bank regulations for assigned job function and applies to designated job responsibilities –

  • knowledge may be gained through coursework and on-the-job training. Keeps up to date on regulation changes.

  • Follows all Bank policies and procedures, compliance regulations, and completes all required annual or job-specific training.

  • Maintain a working knowledge of Bank's written policies and procedures regarding Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation

  • E, Bank Security and other regulations as applicable to this job description.

About You:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science, and/or Accounting with a minimum of two (2) to four (4) years of related work experience.

  • An equivalent combination of work experience, certifications, and training as approved by HR.

  • Excellent written, oral, organizational, and time management skills.

  • Proficient with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Outlook, and Teams.

  • Familiar with MS Power BI and Power Automate.

  • Familiar with model risk management regulations under FRB SR 11-7 and the OCC’s Model Risk Management Handbook.

  • Able to work independently and in a team environment

Our Benefits:

We offer a competitive total rewards package including base wages and comprehensive benefits. The pay range for this role is $61,000.00- $105,000.00, and the pay rate for the selected candidate is dependent upon a variety of non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, education, and geographic location. The role may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation and those details will be provided during the recruitment process.
