AECOM is seeking a Construction Engineer to be based in Murray, Utah.
The Transportation Business Line is actively seeking a highly motivated Construction Engineer for immediate employment in Murray, Utah. This position provides the opportunity to work on large, unique, and complex transportation projects in Michigan and throughout the country.

The objective of the position is to execute work required to deliver client CE&I Project/Programs within established and agreed budgets and schedules, thereby expanding AECOM’s footprint and reputation, and to provide services as the preferred CE&I consultant in the area.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Support project delivery by providing technical direction and guidance to staff, enforcing company and project policies, maintaining close client interface, and ensuring all facets of the project are constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule.
Maintain communication between AECOM supervisors and peers, UDOT and local agency personnel, Contractor personnel and the general public.
Perform field inspections, take field measurements, and perform oversight of material testing on road and bridge construction projects.
Independently evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria, and use judgement in making minor adaptations and modifications.
Support strategy development, preparing proposals, and executing projects.
Establish relationships with both external and internal clients and customers, including industry associations and other potential consultant team members and construction contractors.
Complete field inspections and daily reports. Testing may be required
Submittal review, Change order processing, and general oversight of team members
- BA/BS + 4 YORE or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
4-8 years of project experience, including inspection and field support with local agencies, cities, counties and/or UDOT’s projects
Experience in client prepositioning activities and proposal development
Minimal travel may be required
Preferred Professional Engineer in Utah
Valid Driver’s License required
Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship is required
Willing to work outside on project sites
