+-----------------------------------------------------------------------+ | +------------------------------------------------------------------+ | | | Under the supervision of the Business Administrator, the | | | | Accounting and Benefits Manager performs essential accounting | | | | functions, benefits management, and related human resource | | | | responsibilities including, but not limited to: | | | | | | | | Accounting | | | | | | | | Bank account reconciliation; bank transfers; monthly and | | | | quarterly taxes; billings; board reports; medicare salary | | | | reports; grant reimbursement; form maintenance; requisition | | | | entry; purchase order printing; check runs; Visa management | | | | system; vendor records; travel requests; month end journal | | | | entries; budget setup; work with school administrators for | | | | budget allocation; help forecast school budgets; run labor | | | | reports; primary management of Class Wallet for teacher funds; | | | | assist with audit; receipt all cash and balance accounts; | | | | maintain Murray Education Foundation financials; maintain Amazon | | | | Business account; other related duties. | | | | | | | | Alio (Linq) -- Financial and HR Management | | | | | | | | Maintain back end of Alio; add/remove users; maintain | | | | organization master; build menus; add new programs; create | | | | reports; maintain signatures; update portal annually; other | | | | related duties. | | | | | | | | Payroll Backup | | | | | | | | Create new salary schedules; roll jobs annually; advance | | | | salaries annually, create jobs and pays; update HR records; | | | | import time clock record for payroll; stipend processing; create | | | | direct deposit file; send file to the bank; run and balance | | | | deduction checks; payroll transfer; federal tax deposits; | | | | employee portal help; other related duties. | | | | | | | | TimeClock Plus Backup | | | | | | | | Create jobs; maintain security; prepare reports; answer employee | | | | questions; manage accrual banks; other related duties. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Benefits Management* | | | | | | | | Maintain insurance records; coordinate with all related | | | | agencies; create schedules for payroll deductions in Alio; set | | | | up payroll deductions; maintain ACA records; prepare and submit | | | | required reports; monthly reconciliation of all bills; maintain | | | | employee benefits web page; annual open enrollment; health | | | | equity and early retirement contributions; manage medigap | | | | participants; attend related trainings; present to employees | | | | regarding payroll an benefits; meet with employees; life | | | | insurance claims; long-term disability; audits; workers' | | | | compensation claims and other related duties. | | | | | | | |   | | | +------------------------------------------------------------------+ | | | | | | | | | | |   | | | | | | | | | | | +------------------------------------------------------------------+ | | | |   | +-----------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Related Field.  Two or more years | | of experience with public education accounting systems and benefits | | management highly preferred. | | | | Working knowledge of basic procedures related to accounting; | | generally accepted personnel policies and procedures; benefits | | programs; state retirement systems; interpersonal communication | | technique; alphabetical and numeric filing and documenting; English | | composition, spelling, grammar, punctuation, etc.; telephone | | etiquette; standard office equipment operation; compute | | rized word processing, equipment and programs;  computerized data | | base management and program applications (Alio, Google, MS Excel, | | Access, Word, WordPress, Utah Retirement, Employee Navigator, etc.);  | | spreadsheet uses and applications. Working knowledge of accounting | | and benefits management theory, methods, and practices; basic federal | | and state laws as they apply to accounting and benefits management | | practices. | | | | | | | | Ability to learn and understand in a short period of time complex | | aspects of accounting, benefits and related systems; prepare | | technical reports, documents and agreements; analyze a variety of | | routine accounting and benefits issues and problems and make | | determinations relative to policy compliance; maintain strict | | confidentiality related to sensitive administrative information; | | communicate effectively verbally and in writing; establish and | | maintain effective working relationships with professionals, | | executives, department heads, co-workers and the public; work | | independently and deal effectively with stress caused by work load, | | management/supervisory relationships and time deadlines, | | multi-tasking, etc. | | | | | | | |     | | | |   | +----------------------------------------------------------------------
