Robert Half Inbound Logistics Manager in Murfreesboro, Tennessee

Job Location: Onsite - Murfreesboro, TN

Job Type: Temporary

We are currently seeking an experienced Inbound Logistics Manager for our automotive parts manufacturing facility. We require a motivated candidate with extensive experience in inbound logistics along with an engineering degree or at least 10 years of relevant experience. A strong preference will be given to a candidate who has successfully managed a new warehouse launch before. Familiarity with SAP is required.

Responsibilities:

  1. Manage inbound logistics operations, ensuring that they meet the needs of our high-volume automotive parts manufacturing facility.

  2. Assist in the successful update of the warehouse layout.

  3. Coordinate with various internal and external stakeholders for smooth operational flow.

  4. Plan, schedule and oversee the timely and cost-effective shipment of goods and manage inventory levels.

  5. Control budgets of the inbound logistics department and maintain statistical and financial records.

  6. Participate in the migration from the current SAP system to the new SAP S/4 Hana.

  7. Train and guide the team on the best practices for using SAP S/4 Hana for inbound logistics operations.

  8. Implement quality control processes and measures to ensure internal standards are met.

    Requirements

  9. Engineering degree or at least 10 years of experience in a related field.

  10. Proven success in managing a new warehouse launch strongly preferred.

  11. Extensive knowledge in automotive parts logistics operations.

  12. Strong understanding of SAP systems, with experience in transitioning to SAP S/4 Hana a plus.

  13. Superior problem-solving, organizational, and multi-tasking skills.

  14. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
