Actalent Electrical Engineer in Munster, Indiana

An award-winning architecture and engineering firm is looking to add an Electrical Engineer to their team!

Job Description:

  • Coordinate with other disciplines and work in a team environment

  • Conduct field investigations when needed, produce field reports with detailed sketches

  • Perform duties with multiple projects within the established schedules and budgets

  • Work on a wide variety of project types, scales and complexity

  • Will work on projects in heavy industry, metals, chemical/petrochemical or environmental projects:

  • Breaker and starter sizing

  • Conduit and cable sizing

  • 2-D orthographic design drawing development

  • Single line and network diagram development

  • Meeting with Clients

  • Electrical systems installation review during construction for general compliance with construction documents

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering

  • Five (5) or more years relevant work experience in the industrial sector

  • Professional Engineer (PE) Registration preferred, but not required

  • Working knowledge of NEC, IEC, ISA & IEEE design complying with industry standards is a plus

  • AutoCAD and/or Revit skills preferred, but not mandatory; Arc-flash study experience a plus

  • Ability to visit and safely traverse construction and project sites
