We are looking for highly motivated, analytically-minded graduates ready to join our Amazon Graduate E-Commerce Trainee Program in Munich!

As an Amazon Graduate E-Commerce Trainee, a wide variety of challenging opportunities are waiting for you in the E-Commerce world of Retail Vendor Management with specialization in Retail Finance. During the 24-month trainee program, you will be supported by senior leaders, experts and mentors who will help you gain practical experience in a dynamic, international environment from day one through on-the-job training. In rotations of several months to other teams, you will get to know a wide variety of Amazon divisions. You and your manager will customize your rotations based on your skill-set and development goals while this program includes a mandatory 6-months rotation into Retail Finance. In each rotation you will be actively involved in strategic projects to improve the customer experience at Amazon. At the end of the trainee program you will be ready to take on a position in our Vendor Management teams.

Key job responsibilities

About the Program

  • Start: October 2024

  • Duration: 24 months including rotations

  • Location: Munich with RTO policy

  • Focus area: Vendor Management including 6-month Retail Finance rotation

  • Rotation opportunities in various areas: Advertising, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, Finance (mandatory), Prime Management, Amazon Business, Amazon Fresh, etc.

  • Collaborate and lead projects as a part of an international team

  • True ownership and responsibility from Day 1: You will own your business unit and project to enhance process efficiencies in your department

Retail Vendor Management track w/focus on Retail Finance:

In the area of Vendor Management, you are an entrepreneur within the company and responsible for the relationship with our strategic suppliers or entire product categories.

  • Connect with new suppliers, negotiate conditions, make business decisions and develop marketing strategies

  • Work together with international teams from Product Management, Supply Chain Management, Marketing and Finance to continuously improve the customer experience in your product category

  • Learn all relevant processes of our Retail business

  • Retail Finance: You will own the financial responsibility for a multi-million-dollar product line in one of our retail categories. You will learn about the retail P&L, core KPIs and main Retail Finance IT systems and work with different business teams improving our customer experience.

We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

Basic Qualifications

  • Master Degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Engineering or Mathematics or similar

  • Minimum two internships completed (ideally in the areas of E-Commerce, Consulting, Sales or Logistics, Engineering, Finance)

  • Experience in an international environment (ideally through a semester or internship abroad)

  • Fluent written and verbal communication in English is a mandatory requirement

  • Experience working with Excel (vlookup, index-match, pivot tables, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

  • SQL, PowerBI, VBA

  • Excellent communication skills with ability to advise internal and external contacts

  • Possess a high level of commitment and initiative

  • Quickly grasp and enjoy working with numbers and data

  • Ability to think analytically and strategically

  • Fluent written and verbal communication in English and German
