General Summary:

What you’ll do

  • Consolidation of map-based & sensor-based road model, including cross-validation and map correction

  • Working with link-level map and lane-level maps for different levels of automated driving

  • Safety assessment of road model from multiple sensors, including lidar & camera

  • Develop best-in-class map-based lane model component following principles of clean code, test-driven development, and continuous integration among others

  • Algorithm development considering holistic effect chain

  • Take ownership of system component and implementation of software code base

  • Help to establish and guide a development team

  • Evaluate component performance and impact on overall system level performance

  • Work with and in agile teams according to SCRUM framework

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.

OR

Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience.

OR

PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

• 2+ years of experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.

What you bring with you:

  • Experience with map-based lane model

  • Excellent skills in C/C++ Good skills in system architecture and requirement engineering

  • Knowledge about safety standards like ISO26262/SOTIF

  • Knowledge about coding standards like MISRA

  • A mindset of challenging the status quo and finding creative ways to do things

  • Experience with agile methodologies in a cross-functional team is a plus
