Responsibilities

Microsoft Store has become one of the largest worldwide retailer of Microsoft products and is poised for significant growth in the next five years. To fuel our continued growth in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, we are looking for a bright, customer obsessed, driven and creative leader with e-commerce knowledge to join our team. In the role of the Consumer E-Commerce Manager, you deliver Go-to-Market strategies, support the launch of new products in the DACH region and improve the customer journey in order to grow the online sales of our products (Surface, X-Box, Mix Reality) as well as our subscription business (Office & Gaming) across our digital store fronts: microsoft.com/store, windows store, and Xbox Store.

In your role as the Consumer E-Commerce Manager, you will focus on the following areas:

  • manage the business performance for your area of responsibility and present this in regular meetings on EMEA level.

  • grow traffic and raise brand awareness by defining the local Sales and Marketing Plans for the Digital Stores and by leading the implementation of promotional campaigns with the support of program marketing managers, who report to you.

  • work closely with the site merchandising and experimentation team to identify areas to improve Customer Experience along the customer journey

  • partner with the regional PR and merchandising team to ensure a smooth launch of new products and services on our store front.

  • perform in-depth analysis and turn them into strategic insights, present these in convincing figures and turn them into action

  • seek out ways to automate and simplify manual processes in order to improve productivity.

In addition, you will develop deep business and customer insights and represent the Consumer business in regular leadership meetings plus develop yearly growth plans for your area of responsibility.

You will cooperate with major functional areas such as paid media, site merchandising, pricing, buying, inventory management and customer service management. You will be measured delivering on result regarding revenue, Life Time Value and Net Promoter Score as well as improving the customer experience.

Qualifications

Basic Qualification:

The right person comes with a marketing background and proven experience in e-commerce, has strong analytical skills and is customer obsessed. In addition you have strong verbal and written communications skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven thought leadership and results leading marketing and/or sales for consumer products

  • experience in retail and E-Commerce preferred

  • self-motivated, action-oriented with a sense of strong follow-through

  • strong analytical skills and a proven track record of taking ownership and leading data-driven analyses to support and grow a business

  • A track record of exceptional partnering across a wide-array of internal business groups, stakeholders and execution

  • An ability to manage relationships with peers to leverage campaign activities as appropriate as well as drive global integration and adoption of marketing guidance.

  • An entrepreneurial spirit that is passionate about building businesses within a fast-paced environment, while changing theway customers perceive our brand and our products

  • A character that exemplifies Microsoft values including integrity, honesty, openness, personal excellence, constructive self-criticism, continual self-improvement, and mutual respect

  • MBA preferred, but not required.

  • Superior verbal, written, and presentation skills in both English and German
