Arabella Hospitality SE is the management company of the Schörghuber Group for the hotel division. It operates the asset management for the 15 owned and leased hotels in Germany, Switzerland and Mallorca. The management of the majority of the existing hotel portfolio is the responsibility of Marriott International, Inc. Marriott International, Inc., headquartered in Bethesda/Maryland, USA, has a portfolio of over 8,000 hotels in around 130 countries and territories. It includes directly operated and franchised properties and licensed timeshare facilities under the umbrella of 30 leading brands. The company also owns the award-winning Marriott Bonvoy rewards program.

Arabella Hospitality SE's central accounting department currently oversees 8 hotels in Germany. The accounting team currently comprises 15 employees and is divided into accounts receivable, accounts payable and financial accounting.

We are looking for a Director of Accounting (m/f/d) or junior manager (m/f/d) accounting as soon as possible:

Your tasks:

  • Management and responsibility of central accounting (accounts receivable/accounts payable as well as financial accounting).

  • Responsibility for monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB)

  • Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts

  • Reconciliation of balances and clarification of differences, supervision of collection cases

  • KSK reports and statistical reports to authorities

  • Control of specifications, guidelines and standards in financial matters of the hotels

  • Close communication with owner representatives

  • Contact person for tax consultants, auditors, internal audit, treasury and lawyers

Your profile:

  • You have successfully completed commercial training with further training as a balance sheet accountant (m/f/d), training as a tax clerk (m/f/d) or a comparable qualification

  • You have at least 2 years of professional experience in the above-mentioned areas, ideally in the hotel industry

  • You have first management experience? Perfect! But it is not a must. We offer extensive management training

  • You have a consultative competence to promote and motivate employees and to bring them in line with the company's objectives

  • Careful, structured and independent working style, a high level of commitment and willingness to perform as well as a strong ability to work in a team characterize you

  • Good knowledge in the areas of tax law and preparation of financial statements is a prerequisite

  • Experience in the Opera and Unit4 Financials systems is an advantage

  • You have a good command of written and spoken English and German
