Purpose

We are now strengthening our European Team with an Application Engineer(m/f/d) specialized in Design for Manufacturing for PCB .

You will be responsible for delivering pre-sales duties starting with uncovering customer needs, then deliver targeted product presentations, demos and workshops and finally customer deployment assistance.

We are looking for a result oriented and accountable person that strives on working in an international environment. You must be self-propelled and enjoy taking on new challenges and learning new tools and methodologies as demands are constantly changing.

You will be working with account teams across Europe.

As an Application Engineer you will be promoting and selling the Valor New Product Introduction (NPI) and Process Preparation (PP) products. In the context of sales-operations, the Application Engineer shall be the technical ‘go-to’ person for Account Managers, and to take technical ownership of sales engagements.

Major Responsibilities

  • Uncover customer needs through onsite visits and / or telephone contact

  • Address the customer needs through delivery of product presentations and demonstrations, running pilot projects, and / or carry-out benchmarks

  • Present the business value / ROI to the decision makers at the customer

  • Write product Adoption / Deployment / Migration Plans

  • Assist the customer to integrate the Valor products into their engineering, fabrication, assembly, and / or test processes

Required Experience:

  • BSEE or work knowledge and experience

  • Comfortable or willing to learn to present at all levels from technical to executive

  • Relevant work experience with Electronic Contract Manufacturing (EMS)

  • General knowledge of pick and place, inspection, and test equipment

  • Capable of characterizing and implementing scripts, libraries and other functionality required for successful tool or flow deployment

  • Experience with the Valor products is an advantage, not a must

  • Yery good English Level

  • Good verbal and written communication skills; very self-motivated and results oriented.

  • Willing to go the extra mile to make customers successful and win business for Siemens EDA

  • Able to integrate in an International Team with a proven team player mentality

  • The role is pan-European and includes travelling from time to time, both European and International

You will report into the European PCB and System Solutions Technical Team.
