Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to oversee the performance and maintenance of our large production machinery. This role is crucial in ensuring our operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Shifts Available

• 1st Shift: 5:30 am to 2:00 pm (with OT on Saturdays)

• 2nd Shift: 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm (with OT on Saturdays)

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance inspections and service on machines.

• Thoroughly clean machines and machine parts, removing parts and reinstalling as necessary.

• Record and report damaged, worn, or broken parts.

• Order and install replacement parts for machines.

• Identify the cause of unexpected breakdowns of machines.

• Repair broken machines quickly and efficiently.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Troubleshoot, identify, fix, and rebuild broken packaging and food processing equipment, building structures, and auxiliary systems (electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic), and report your findings to the rest of the team.

• Install, service, maintain, modernize, and modify machinery and processing apparatus.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High School degree, some college preferred

• 2+ years' work experience in manufacturing setting

• Database management

• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)

• Working knowledge of plant equipment and parts is a plus

• May be required to work long hours and weekends

This is a Permanent position based out of MUNDELEIN, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $75000.00/yr.
