Are you interested in a Demand Planning Manager role within the Europe Central (EUC) LEGO Business Unit covering Germany, Austria, and Switzerland? You will be accountable for delivering the short-term demand plan for a group of SKUs and you will support regional colleagues to build the longer-term forecasts. Your work is key to an effective BU S&OP process, helping the business to deliver its commercial targets.

Your combined commercial knowledge of the LEGO Business Unit and demand planning technical mastery makes you a trusted partner to the BU Operations, Brand Management and Commercial Teams.

You will be responsible for a significant part of the SKU forecast, you provide Operations support to the gap closing process and you drive continuous improvement to tools and processes aiming at improving accuracy, collaboration, and effectiveness.

Core Responsibilities

  • Building upon a statistical forecast you will create the demand plan for a significant part of the business unit revenue; the forecast covers both Consumers Sales and Customer Sell In at customer group and SKU level and KPIs include topline accuracy as well as item error.

  • You will ensure demand plans accurately reflect known marketing activities, product launch timings and promotional activities.

  • You will ensure alignment of theme plan assumptions with Brand Management.

  • You will support Sales and Marketing to evaluate the likely impact of commercial investments.

  • You will support the overall BU S&OP processes by owning specific topics (e.g. Confidence to Target, Gap to Target investments and impacts, Risks & Opportunities)

  • You will represent the Demand Planning Team in the BU Seasonal Squad which plans and executes the most important campaigns of the year.

  • You will ensure effective communication with the Market Group demand planning team ensuring top-down strategies are understood within the BUs whilst also providing the Market Group demand planners with clarity of key BU specific assumptions across the full forecasting horizon.

  • You will use your demand planning expertise and skills to drive continuous improvement for our processes and tools.

Play your part in our team succeeding.

The output of your work will be used by supply chain to ensure the right products are manufactured at the right time, ensuring good availability and in-stock whilst avoiding the generation of waste. The demand planner role is “multilingual” as it is used to advise both the supply chain (volume) and the commercial planning processes (value). You will be responsible for the short-term forecast and work with the regional team to influence the longer-term plan. You will represent Demand Planning in some of the BU cross-functional collaboration Teams and support senior management to identify gaps to target and take corrective actions.

A real opportunity to use your curious and focused approach to ensure we send the right demand signal to production and improve the opportunity of getting the right LEGO products in the hands of the builders of tomorrow.
