Job Description

Manager, Field Service

Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is looking for a highly motivated and skilled Manager, Field Service to join our team in India. As the Manager, Field Service, you will be responsible for overseeing service delivery in our Environmental and Process Instruments businesses. This role provides an opportunity to build a strong service organization with excellent technical expertise and establish effective methods to monitor and track service performance.

Responsibilities:

• Develop technical expertise on our products to ensure flawless operation and troubleshoot equipment as necessary

• Interact with the manager during field service and provide regular updates

• Co-ordinate with team members and Service Coordinator to address technical and commercial issues of customers

• Monitor and track contracts and related revenues under execution

• Discover chances to complete service contracts and sell spare parts

• Maintain and update databases and online portals regularly

• Professional and clear communication with customers regarding visit schedules, parts information, and commercial updates

• Determine tools and equipment required for job scope

• Perform routine maintenance on equipment and assist in establishing preventative maintenance schedules

• Assemble, align, and install equipment as necessary and keep track of warranty services

• Travel approximately 80-85% of the time

Requirements:

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in Environment Monitoring and related systems is required.

• Strong analytical and technical knowledge in the required field

• Excellent communication and presentation skills

• Effective people management skills for managing customers and junior technicians

• Seriousness, positive attitude, and proper conduct towards the job

• Willingness to relocate and be flexible for extensive touring as per site requirement
