About the role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to manage and optimize our AWS cloud resources. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, and scripting, with proficiency in monitoring and CI/CD tools. Experience with Hashicorp Vault is a plus.

  • Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage AWS cloud infrastructure.

  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.

  • Deploy and manage containerized applications using Kubernetes.

  • Create and maintain automation scripts using Bash or other scripting languages.

  • Implement and maintain monitoring solutions to ensure the health and performance of our systems.

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines, preferably using GitHub Actions.

  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure high availability and reliability of services.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to infrastructure, applications, and network performance.

  • Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards.

  • Document system designs, processes, and procedures.

Requirements:

  • AWS: Extensive experience in managing AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, Lambda, etc.).

  • Terraform: Proficient in writing and managing Terraform scripts for infrastructure automation.

  • Kubernetes: Strong knowledge and experience in deploying and managing Kubernetes clusters.

  • Scripting: Proficiency in scripting languages, atleast Bash.

  • Monitoring Tools: Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch).

  • CI/CD Tools: Experience with CI/CD tools, with a preference for GitHub Actions.

  • Good to Have Skills: Hashicorp Vault - Experience with Hashicorp Vault for secret management.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

  • 6+ years of experience in a Site Reliability Engineering role or similar.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and in a team environment.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

  • Proven track record of managing and maintaining cloud-based infrastructure.

  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
