The Cross-Solutions team, part of the Microsoft Commercial Solutions organization, is accountable for leveraging deep subject matter expertise to enable sales teams and partners to deliver relevant, customized solutions and services, built on a secure, integrated cloud platform.  These solutions empower our customers to digitally transform their businesses. Responsibilities

*The purpose of this role *

You will be an essential part of digital transformation engagements and will steer opportunities with our customers, using your deep sustainability knowledge and technical experience. Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Own winning the decision at our customers for sales opportunities, through tailoring your message, bringing ideas to the customers, engaging with them to show our value differentiation, and guiding them in decision making.

  • Act as a trusted advisor to both customers and internal teams. Surface insights to improve the customer experience, inform GTM, and scale best practices.

  • Maintain a healthy and verifiable pipeline and execute on each phase of the sales stages to consistently achieve sales goals.

  • Demonstrate Sustainability domain expertise and lead technical presentations, demonstrations and workshops to explain, and prove to our largest customers the capabilities of Microsoft Cloud for Sustainability and our Sustainability Data Services in Fabric.

  • Help our customers to identify their Data challenges associated to ESG and regulation and support them in building a Data Strategy.

  • Influence the Cloud for Sustainability go-to-market strategies by providing feedback to sales, marketing, and engineering on current and future product requirements and technical sales blockers you encounter.

  • Support delivery enablement/partner onboarding and oversee successful go-live, maintain on-going relationship through delivery. 

Qualifications

*What skills do you need to have? *

Having worked at a senior level in a solution selling or technical leadership role will provide you with the foundation you need to make an impact in this role. Experience required: 

Minimum   qualifications

  • Experience of sustainability industry domain expertise and expertise working in business roles at a company in the sustainability industry​.

  • 12+ years of related experience in a software sales and/or technical sales roles.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience, training, and certifications.

  • Proven track record of delivering sales results, exceeding quotas and managing complex sales pursuits from ideation to close.

  • Experience working with new solutions and fast evolving technical roadmaps, identifying, and managing technical blockers and challenges within a customer's environment.

  • Data expertise to support customer ESG data strategy, subject matter expertise on specific Data technologies such as Azure Data Factory, Synapse and Databricks.

  • Power Platform knowledge and experience.

Preferred

  • Significant experience in leading customer conversations and sales execution around sustainability and data solutions for enterprise-class customers.

  • Experience developing country plans and go to market strategies around cloud workloads, including productivity SaaS applications and IaaS and PaaS workloads.

  • Well-developed ability to influence without authority to drive change.

  • Strong oral & written communication skills, strong influencing skills, experience in public speaking to large and small audiences.
