Nielsen Revenue Controlling - Analyst and Intl Processes support in Mumbai, India

In this critical role, you will be the guardian of our revenue cycle, focusing on providing timely and accurate reporting and follow-up on key closing activities. You will play a vital role in ensuring smooth central check processing, reviewing blocks for potential issues, and proactively managing collections, unbilled revenue, and open items.

Responsibilities:

Closing Activities & Reporting:

o Prepare and deliver accurate and insightful reports on key metrics related to closing activities, such as revenue recognition, accruals, and reserves.

o Analyze and investigate discrepancies in closing data, identifying and resolving issues promptly.

o Partner with various teams (e.g., Sales, Finance) to ensure timely completion of closing tasks and data accuracy.

Central Check Processing:

o Monitor and review central controls, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established procedures.

o Identify and investigate potential issues with central checks, taking corrective actions as needed.

o Maintain detailed records and reports on central check activity.

o Support on targets setting and on follow ups to meet them

Blocks and Collections Management:

o Review and analyze blocks placed on customer accounts, identifying the root cause and working towards resolution.

o Proactively follow up on outstanding collections, ensuring timely payments and minimizing bad debt.

o Track and monitor unbilled revenue and open items, driving resolution and closure.

Qualifications:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various teams, solve remotely, solution oriented

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).

  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a revenue cycle, collections or accounting role.

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and revenue recognition standards.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.

  • Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.

  • Proficiency in Google and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Experience with SAP.
