Citigroup ICM Business Risk Intermediate Analyst, Mumbai in Mumbai, India

Citi continues to enhance its business control and governance framework by building out Institutional Credit Management (ICM), to house and consistently manage credit risk activities performed across its Institutional Client Group organization. ICM’s objective is to provide integrated “end-to-end” credit underwriting, identification, measurement, management, and monitoring for wholesale credit risk across the enterprise. Within ICM, the Credit Underwriting function (ICM-UW) provides analysis, greenlight, underwriting, first-line-of-defense credit approval and subsequent credit monitoring across all ICG wholesale credit businesses including Banking, Capital Markets, and Advisory (BCMA), Global Structured Products, Financings, and Securitizations (GSP-F&S), Treasury & Trade Services (TTS), Markets, and Securities Services (MSS). This role will be part of the CAO driving the insights, analytics and MIS to deliver to the organizational globally while working with other ICM technology and product teams to ensure ICM-UWs analytics and reporting needs are adopted in the Target Operating Model for Wholesale Lending Credit Risk. The Business Risk Intermediate Analyst is a seasoned professional role. Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and work-flow for the area or function. Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the function and overall business. Evaluates moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information. Requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Excellent communication skills are required. Work and performance of all teams in the area are directly affected by the performance of the individual.

Responsibilities:

· Ability to analyze and identify trends across the portfolio, KPIs and operational aspects of ICM UW that drives action and change

· Build tactical and interim solutions to delivery on short term objectives while supporting long term goals to ensure improvement in performance, portfolio management and regulatory adherence

· Monitor KPIs for lending management, portfolio metrics and operational management

· Understand the current technology infrastructure and how to best delivery tactical and strategically solutions to the end users and management staff Build reusable solutions with proper controls

· Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to build capabilities for recommendation and use in analytical product development across Citi lines of businesses.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced Excel skill is a must

  • Experience in Python & Tableau

  • 5-7 years relevant experience in data analytics.

  • Problem solver with the ability to translate plans in actions

  • Experience in working with the various risk and control systems and reporting requirements

  • Project management skills. Excellent organizational skills, ability to multitask and adapt to change.

  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills

  • Self-motivated and detail oriented

Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
