Security Manager , Asia Pacific
Reports to - Director of Global Security Operations
Purpose of the role:
The Security Manager for Asia Pacific (APAC) will play a crucial role in safeguarding our organization’s employees, assets, and facilities; primarily in India, but also supporting the entire APAC region. Overall, this role will help to create a safe and secure environment, protecting both people and property from various threats.
Job description:
The primary responsibilities of the APAC Security Manager are to maintain and continually enhance the organization’s physical security program, develop and implement a regional security plan, as well as promoting compliance to our own internal policies. This position will serve as a physical security consultant and subject matter expert for the Asia Pacific region; the manager and is required to interface directly with various business unit leaders, as well as current and potential customers.
The APAC Security Manager will be responsible for the protection of our people, physical security of company assets, and carrying out impartial investigations. The SSM will enhance the organization’s security standards and proactively identify/promote security best practices. The candidate will establish and lead a threat and vulnerability management program to coincide with the enhancement of the security incident response program, and ensure the operation and execution of these programs is in tune with our security awareness training, aligned specifically to the various NCR Atleos offices and inter-corporate organizations.
Key accountabilities:
Risk Assessment ;
C onduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
Security Planning ;
D evelop and implement comprehensive security plans and procedures to mitigate identified risks.
Incident Response ;
C oordinate responses to security incidents, working with internal departments and external agencies as needed.
System Design and Installation ;
D esign and oversee the installation of security systems, such as CCTV, access control, and alarm systems.
Investigations;
Oversee and direct complex and sensitive investigations to ensure they are conducted thoroughly, ethically, and in compliance with legal requirements.
Personnel Management ;
M anage security personnel, ensuring they are well-trained and effectively deployed.
Required experience, knowledge and skills:
The NCR Atleos APAC Security Manager is required to have more than 10 years of experience in law enforcement, investigation and/or physical security, with a solid background in effective risk management. Previous experience within the financial sector is preferable, but not essential.
Work experience with threat and vulnerability planning and incident response is required. The candidate should have a sound working knowledge of leading industry security tools, policies, processes, and procedures. Strong analytical skills, with excellent verbal and written communication skills are required in order to interface with various business unit management and NCR Atleos customers.
Educational Background ;
A bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, security management, or a related field is commonly required .
Work Experience ;
Several years of experience in security management or a related field is essential. This includes hands-on experience with security operations, risk assessments, and incident response.
Certifications ;
Professional certifications such as Certified Protection Professional (CPP) or Physical Security Professional (PSP) can be highly beneficial.
Technical Skills ;
Knowledge of security systems (e.g., CCTV, access control, alarm systems) and familiarity with the latest security technologies.
Leadership and Management Skills ;
Experience in managing security personnel, executing security policies, and coordinating with other departments.
Communication and Interpersonal Skills ;
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with employees, management, and external agencies.
Problem-Solving Abilities ;
The ability to quickly assess situations and make informed decisions during security incidents.
Compliance Knowledg e;
Understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to physical security .
