Microsoft Corporation Support Solutions Commercial Executive in Multiple Locations, United States

The Commercial Sales Enablement Team drives revenue, field agility, and commerce transformation through a team of specialized Commercial Executives and Commerce Leads. Our team has deep experience in deal-making and contracting across all Microsoft solution areas, including cloud, software, support, and hardware. We offer that experience through engagement with account teams and customers to drive great deals and satisfaction.

The Support Solutions Commercial Executive is a trusted advisor who leads the design, negotiation, and execution of the customer’s commercial solution, ensuring every deal is compliant and profitable for Microsoft.

As a Support Solutions Commercial Executive, you will engage with Support sellers and customers to negotiate complex commercial Support Services terms and lead or co-lead the strategy for the negotiation approach by engaging with stakeholders. You will develop trusted relationships with key customer stakeholders and Account Teams to help our customers deliver their business goals and achieve Microsoft Support Services revenue targets. You will collaborate with your peers in other areas to achieve business continuity, balance workload, and share learnings.

Responsibilities

  • Deal Making​: Revenue Generation and Growth: Achieve revenue and business growth for Microsoft and ensure compliance through sales process. Understand customers needs, address objections and tailor commercial solutions to ensure long term success

  • Lead internal and external sales through commercial construct and deal making.

  • Read and interpret contracts to effectively assess customer requirements, handle customer objections, and clearly communicate Microsoft contract requirements as they relate to customer need.

  • Collaborate with Sales and Finance stakeholders to define the negotiation strategy and drive internal alignment regarding pricing, terms, and conditions

  • Lead Negotiator: Prepare compelling negotiation strategies, articulate value proposition, address customer concerns effectively.

  • Develop trusted relationships with key customer stakeholders, Account Teams, Specialist Teams, and Microsoft Operations to help our customers deliver their business goals and achieve Microsoft revenue targets.

  • Collaborate with your peers in other areas to achieve business continuity, balance workload if required and share learnings.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years sales and negotiation experience

o OR Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Information Technology, Law, Marketing, Finance, Communication, Education (or equivalent) or related field AND 5+ years sales and negotiation experience or related work or internship experience

o OR equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 9+ years sales and negotiation experience

o OR Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Information Technology, Law, Marketing, Finance, Communication, Education (or equivalent) or related field AND 7+ years sales and negotiation experience or related work or internship experience

o OR Master's Degree in Business Management, Information Technology, Law, Marketing (or equivalent) AND 6+ years sales and negotiation experience or related work

o OR equivalent experience.

  • Have a proven history of building and implementing sales strategies to manage pipeline and meet sales goals by reviewing forecasts, assessing, and mitigating risks, and ensuring strategy alignment with business priorities

  • Possess excellent written and oral Communication skills with a demonstrated ability to prepare and deliver clear, accurate, and understandable communications conveying highly complex business and technical information to all audiences.

Commercial Sales IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $106,100 - $185,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $144,000 - $203,500 per year.
