Global Partner Solutions (GPS) team is a sales organization accountable for the commercial partner business at Microsoft, and the mission is to build and sell Microsoft Cloud applications, services and devices with partners, empowering people, and organizations to achieve more.

We are looking for Partner Cloud Solution Architect – Modern Work that will be accountable for delivering customer success by working with Global System Integrators (GSI), and Advisory partners. This role plays a crucial role in building world-class solutions and practices across Microsoft solution areas, with the GSI partners. By providing deep technical guidance, you will help partners evolve their business solution portfolio using Microsoft AI and Cloud technologies. In this role, you will guide the development of business solutions, provide deep technical insights, and accelerate the growth of Microsoft Technical priorities across Azure, Copilot, Generative AI, Security, Business Applications and modern work. You will work closely with partners to understand their technical requirements and business objectives, and guide them through architectural design sessions, developing proof of concepts, and help them transition from legacy systems to modern cloud environments, ensuring that their solutions are optimized for performance and cost-efficiency. By leveraging your skills in technical leadership, cloud computing, software development, problem solving and systems architecture, you will drive business impact by enabling digital transformation, optimizing performance, and driving innovation through the effective use of cloud technologies.

This role is in the United States and is flexible in that you can work up to 50% from home.

Responsibilities

• Partner Transformation, Strategic Programs and Solution Development: Accelerate partner transformation and growth by leveraging the Microsoft cloud value proposition and increase partner portfolio capabilities with key Microsoft innovations. Aid partners to develop and implement high quality solutions and/or services leveraging Microsoft’s latest technologies

• Technical Leadership: Develop and maintain depth and breadth of technical and professional skills, along with business acumen and industry knowledge. Exhibit as deep level of knowledge in at least one designated solution area and at least three product areas within that solution area: Infrastructure, Data & AI, Digital and App Innovation (Developer), Security, Modern Work (Microsoft 365 etc.), and Business Applications (Dynamics, Power Platform etc.). Exhibit an intermediate level of knowledge in at least one other solution area and at least one product area within the solution area(s), including AI. Exhibit experience in all other solution areas as evidenced by training, certification, or direct experience. Participate and contribute to relevant internal and external technical communities.

• Enablement Execution: Lead and/or contribute to the delivery of workshops, bootcamps, and trainings necessary to build partners’ technical skills.

• Technical Engagement: Lead technical engagements, including Briefings, Proof of Concepts, Architectural Design Sessions, and Hackathons.

• Best Practice Sharing: Collaborate with Microsoft’s Engineering teams to generate technical insight and enable best practices sharing.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field AND 4+ years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, information technology (IT) consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting in Modern Work/Microsoft 365 solutions

• OR equivalent experience.

• 4+ years experience working on technical projects with experience designing and deploying solutions in Modern Work/Microsoft365 solutions or related, along with knowledge of hybrid cloud architectures for integrating on-premises workloads with Azure resources.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field AND 12+ years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, information technology (IT) consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting in Modern Work/Microsoft 365

• OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field AND 8+ years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting in Modern Work/Microsoft 365

• OR equivalent experience.

• 6+ years experience working in a customer-facing role (e.g., internal and/or external).

• 6+ years experience leading technical projects.

• Technical Certification in Cloud (e.g., Azure, Amazon Web Services, Google, security certifications).

• 4+ years of related experience in technology IP solutions or services development, with understanding of digital transformation business drivers, cloud platforms, and emerging cloud trends like generative AI and SaaS (Software as a Service) services.

• Experience in background and in-depth knowledge of cloud technologies, with a focus on Microsoft's cloud offerings (Azure, Dynamics 365, Microsoft 365).

• Deep knowledge of solution architecture, design, implementation, and/or support of Cloud and/or hybrid messaging/collaboration/unified environments.Certification in one or more of the following technologies preferred: Microsoft Azure fundamentals, Microsoft 365 fundamentals. Cloud Security, Teams Administration, SharePoint Certifications.

• Breadth of technical experience and knowledge, with depth in two or more of the following Microsoft 365 solutions: Microsoft Teams, Teams Phone & Rooms, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online & Viva platform, Power Platform Solutions, Windows & Cloud Endpoint, Identity and Access, Management, Information Protection, Governance & Risk Management, Compliance Management.

Cloud Solution Architecture IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $103,800 - $200,300 per year.

There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $133,700 - $219,200 per year.

Cloud Solution Architecture IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $129,200 - $248,800 per year.

There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $162,000 - $268,900 per year.
