This Managing Director - Healthcare role adds value to Microsoft by leading a well-managed, high-performing and continue-growing sales team to deliver year-over-year business and revenue growth.  This role is responsible for one very large, strategic account for Microsoft in the healthcare industry. Success is defined by strategic alignment with the customer’s business goals, and is measured by:

  • Overall performance of Microsoft in the account including– measured by customer satisfaction rating;

  • Growth achievement across revenue and consumptiongoals;

  • Customer's Business Decision Maker (BDM)/Information Technology Decision Maker (ITDM) relationships;

  • Business scorecard metrics as defined by fiscal year commitments;

  • Individual team members meeting or exceeding business targets driven by the Managing Director’s demonstration of leadership and coaching as well as Workgroup Health Index (WHI).

Responsibilities

  • Lead a sustainable and predictable sales and delivery of services business that delivers success to both Microsoft, the customer and the partner ecosystem.

  • Develop a high- performing sales and delivery team where team members are considered to be best-in-class sales/tech sales professions *in the market. *

  • Build and grow customer and partner executive relationships to earn their trust and loyalty .

  • Develop an understanding of the key metrics that the customer uses to manage the Microsoft relationship, and work with the customer to review and adjust those as necessary.

  • Drive integration and orchestration across all sales/tech sales/marketing/services/partner organizations to ensure a 'One Microsoft' approach.

  • Ensure execution of Microsoft digital transformation strategy to enable Microsoft as a digital leader with higher revenue creation, profitability and market valuation.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • 15+ years experience in working in an industry (e.g., Financial Services, Retail, Manufacturing, Healthcare, Energy, Government, Education, Technology) and/or driving digital transformation

  • OR Bachelor's Degree AND 12+ years experience working in an industry (e.g., Financial Services, Retail, Manufacturing, Healthcare, Energy, Government, Education, Technology) and/or driving digital transformation

  • OR Master's Degree AND 11+ years experience working in an industry (e.g., Financial Services, Retail, Manufacturing, Healthcare, Energy, Government, Education, Technology) and/or driving digital transformation.

  • 8+ years experience making recommendations to and/or collaborating with mid-to-senior level executives.

  • 10+ years experience closing large, complex agreements/deals.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 15+ years experience working in the Healthcare industry and/or driving digital transformation

  • OR Master's Degree AND 13+ years experience working in the Healthcare industry and/or driving digital transformation.

  • 6+ years of people management and leading sales teams to achieve quota sustainability growth year-over year.

  • Sales, general manager and/or business background centered on software/cloud technologies combined with deep understanding of key industry solutions and competitive technologies in the Healthcare Industry (Payor/Provider experience preferred).

  • Previous partner and go-to-market experiences including market activation, global coordination and execution.

  • Extensive experience in working with high-performing sales individuals and software partners.

  • Business planning and coaching/instilling business discipline skills woven with ability to encourage sales/tech sales team to develop and implement targeted plans.

  • Operational rigor, guiding Microsoft and our partners to “show up” in a professional manner every time – prepared, with a deep understanding of the issues or challenges.

  • Ability to identify, nurture, and drive digital transformation as well as transformational agreements with all customers.

  • A background in healthcare is preferred. If this does not exist, ability to bridge the outcome themes from other industries to the customer’s specific industry (i.e.tie retail innovation to patient connection). 

Strategic Account Management M6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $147,200 - $243,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $193,000 - $267,000 per year.
