Microsoft Corporation Cloud Solution Architect in Multiple Locations, Taiwan

We are looking for a highly motivated, experienced and passionate Cloud Solution Architect (CSA) focused on M365 and Modern Work to join our Worldwide Public Sector Team . As part of this role, you will be responsible for technical customer engagements, working in the most challenging and exciting projects, helping our public sector customers make the most out of their cloud investments while getting their workplaces secure and ready for AI innovation. This customer-facing position is a hands-on technical role spanning across design, build, and operations with a focus on issue resolution to remove customer technical obstacles and adoption challenges. You will work with select public sector customers to lead deep technical architecture discussions with senior Executives, Enterprise Architects, Platform Engineers and Developers. You will collaborate with a variety of internal and external teams to oversee implementation projects, ensuring technical blockers are timely removed and identifying new cloud transformation opportunities along the way.

Responsibilities

  • Customer Obsession

  • Is the Chief Technical Office (CTO)-level leader who drives technical leadership and executive engagement across M365 and Modern Work. Develops and expands existing impactful relationships with customer and partner architects, C-level technical decision makers (TDMs), and business stakeholders for large and high-impact customers/partners (to the extent that the customer/partner will call for consultation without being prompted).

  • Provides direction to TDMs and builds the bridge between TDMs and business decision makers (BDMs). Uncovers, aggregates, and synthesizes data about customer/partner business, complex technical requirements and issues (e.g., involving great length or tenacity to resolve), and various technical strategies being proposed.

  • Addresses requirements/issues/strategies with win-win technical Zero Trust architecture(s), and demonstrates and proves the capability and value of those solutions through design collaboration sessions with the customer/partner. Contributes to and understands how work aligns with customer's success plans and proactively anticipates and delivers customer outcomes by developing strategic partnerships with internal teams. Supports customer skilling by leading discussions on technical delivery with other internal and external stakeholders as a technical domain expert to influence customer readiness.

  • Use the Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework to accelerate our customers’ cloud journey through proven practices and practical recommendations.

  • Ensure the quality of our customers’ cloud workloads leveraging the 5 pillars of the Microsoft Well-Architected Framework: Security, Operational Excellence, Cost Optimization, Performance Efficiency, and Reliability.

  • Identify resolutions to issues blocking go-live of customer success projects by leveraging technical subject matter expertise.

  • Ready our customers Modern Work environments for AI adoption at scale.

Qualifications

Required/minimum qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field AND 10+ years experience in modern work/cloud/infrastructure technologies, information technology (IT) consulting/support, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, zero trust architecture, and/or consulting OR equivalent experience.

Additional or preferred qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field AND 15+ years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, information technology (IT) consulting/support, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field AND 12+ years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting OR equivalent experience. Technical Certification in Cloud (e.g., Azure, Amazon Web Services, Google, security certifications). 8+ years experience leading technical projects. 8+ years experience working in a customer-facing role (e.g., internal and/or external).
