Fann Contracting, Inc. Asphalt Plant Groundsperson/Laborer in Multiple Locations, Arizona
Fann Contracting, Inc - Northern Arizona’s leading heavy-civil contractor - is searching for an experienced Hot mix Asphalt Plant Groundsperson /Laborer to join our team. This is a full time, year-round and permanent position with great benefits at one of our mobile hot mix asphalt plants. Annual wage may range between $40K to $65K or more DOE, travel and overtime.
Fann is a Northern Arizona-based contractor celebrating over 60 years of business performing civil, highway, and general construction improvements throughout the State of Arizona. Our projects include public and private entities including ADOT, FHWA, BIA, city and county municipalities, private residential and commercial developments.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Take an active role in ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations, and with company policies and procedures.
Safely and proficiently operate heavy equipment including front end loader, skid loaders, and other plant equipment, depending upon experience and as needed.
Ensure that all assigned/used equipment is properly maintained, and in safe working order.
Perform daily job site clean-up.
Maintain and account for all plant tools on a daily basis.
Grease and repair parts of plant as needed/required.
Watch and listen to feed system, drum, and baghouse systems during run times to ensure successful operation.
Perform duties as specified by Plant Foreman/Operator.
Will also perform other duties as required.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:
Ability to understand and communicate oral and written instructions.
Ability to maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and supervisors.
Ability to safely lift and use ladders, carry, manipulate, load and unload parts and pieces of plant systems up to 50 pounds, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, squat twist, and climb heavy equipment several times throughout the day, and balance at heights behind guardrails. In addition, you must have the ability to be on your feet regularly for long shifts and use hands, arms, and legs repeatedly on the job. This includes frequently walking on uneven surfaces, as well as working in confined areas, performing strenuous work in varying temperatures, humidity, wind, or other extreme inclement weather conditions for extended periods of time.
Work will be performed in an environment with exposure to extremely hot materials, fuel, fumes, vapors, dust, grease and oils, as well as loud and/or constant noise and exposure to moving equipment.
