Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 2 years of experience in program management.

  • Experience in hardware manufacturing.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.

  • 2 years of experience in Engineering Program Management, Team Lead, or Design Engineering.

  • Knowledge of product life cycles, tools, processes, and operations planning.

  • Ability to drive multiple tasks at once and stay organized

  • Excellent team player and creative thinker, with the ability to lead technical teams, cross-functional groups, and vendors against plans

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

As a System Engineering Program Manager, you will lead an innovative engineering team and will work with hardware and software engineers, product managers, and CMs/ODMs/OEMs to get high-quality products built, tested, and released on time. You’ll coordinate many moving parts and get them to come together as a product.

The Google Pixel team focuses on designing and delivering the world's most helpful mobile experience. The team works on shaping the future of Pixel devices and services through some of the most advanced designs, techniques, products, and experiences in consumer electronics. This includes bringing together the best of Google’s artificial intelligence, software, and hardware to build global smartphones and create transformative experiences for users across the world.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $122,000-$178,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Lead cross-functional Engineering teams to get products defined, designed, built, and validated on time, while meeting schedule, cost, features, and quality requirements.

  • Define, drive, and manage the hardware development plans and schedules with multiple Engineering and Operations teams.

  • Work with manufacturing partners and vendors in manufacturing environments on product development schedules, dependencies, budgets, and partner with the Product Design teams to ensure all design and product deliverables are met.

  • Manage schedule, cost, performance, and develop, maintain, and communicate key focus points and next steps with engineering, vendors, operations, quality, and management.

  • Synthesize data into a story and communicate to stakeholders and organizations at all levels.
