Intuit Staff Business Data Analyst in Mountain View, California

The data analyst will be part of the Futures organization working within and across cross-functional groups supporting strategic business decisions with insight into Intuit’s customers and products. The role will include playing an active role in facilitating data usability, data standardization and user acceptance testing initiatives; development and deployment of standard and non-standard metrics; and creating analytical solutions.

As a Staff Technical Data Analyst, you will leverage your technical skills, business acumen, and creativity to extract and analyze massive data sets, to build analytics-ready datasets and drive insights and key business metrics, contribute to metadata that improves data usability, and much more. The ideal candidate is deeply analytical and detailed-oriented, capable of thinking independently and influential in driving adoption and improvements.

What you'll bring

  • M.S in a quantitative field - Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering or related fields, or equivalent experience

  • 5+ years of work experience involving quantitative data analysis

  • Database experience with advanced SQL skills mandatory; experience researching and manipulating complex and large data sets; Hive and AWS competency a plus

  • Proficient in one or more scripting languages, such as Python or Perl, PySpark

  • Experience working with Gen AI tools and platforms

  • Experience in complex analytical tools, R or SAS or Databricks

  • Experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview

  • Knowledge of web analytics tools – AWS tools, SiteCatalyst, SiteSpect, Google Analytics.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

How you will lead

  • Partner closely with business and technical teams to understand their project objectives and provide data-driven solutions and recommendations and drive innovation.

  • Ability to sift through large amounts of information, extract key insights, and communicate succinctly. Adapt communication of data to varied audiences.

  • Design and develop data preparation components and processes that extract and transform data across disparate database tables by creating aggregate tables for reporting and analytics, ensuring integrity of analysis data by developing the requirement specifications and assisting the development and testing of data tables.

  • Partner directly with the product development team on product instrumentation, product flow and data capture.

  • Ensures solutions are scalable, repeatable, efficient and effective.
