We are Sales Systems Engineering, a product engineering organization focused on creating innovative solutions that enhance productivity for LinkedIn's Sales organization. Our products are built on a distributed microservices platform that integrates Azure cloud components with LinkedIn's native infrastructure. By seamlessly blending automation with intelligence through workflows and AI/ML, we deliver an exceptional user experience for our products.

We are looking for driven and passionate engineers to build on our incredible momentum. As a Sr. Staff Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal senior role on our team. You are results-driven and can help coach team members to deliver at the highest levels of quality and craftsmanship with a sense of urgency and ownership. You will be instrumental to shaping the strategy and vision of our organization as LinkedIn’s business and technology landscapes evolve and shift.

Responsibilities:

•Drive innovation by architecting, designing, building and shipping software that boost the productivity of our users.

•Supply technical leadership and leverage the best engineering practices to initiate, plan, and execute large-scale, cross functional, and company-wide critical programs.

•Develop new strategies to improve internal processes and implement optimal solutions through technology and tool sets.

•Identify, leverage, and successfully evangelize opportunities to improve engineering productivity.

•You will provide technical leadership to other members of the team and across the broader R&D Organization through championing engineering best practices, providing technical mentorship, and embodying LinkedIn’s values day-to-day.

•You will be an advocate for both raising and upholding the standards of product health and reliability through enhanced validation.

Basic Qualifications:

•BA/BS Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or related practical experience.

•5+ years of experience in software design, development, and algorithm related solutions

•5+ years of experience in programming languages such as Python, Java, C/C++, C#

•2+ years of experience in an architect or technical leadership position

Preferred Qualifications:

•BS and 10+ years of relevant work experience, MS and 8+ years of relevant work experience, or PhD and 6+ years of relevant work experience.

•Experience architecting and launching large complex projects.

•Experience in data governance, data engineering, data lakes, and data warehouses.

•Experience with CI/CD pipelines and common deployment models and infrastructure.

•Experience designing and building applications infrastructure, understanding application validation and debugging methodologies at scale.

•Experience with strategic planning, executing on a long term roadmap, team development and scaling processes to support business growth.

•Experience leading by influence, formulating and driving technical strategies across various organizations.

•Knowledge of (and a passion for) current trends and best practices in architecture, including performance, stability, and usability.

The pay range for this role is $171,000 to $280,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
