This role will be based in Mountain View, San Francisco, New York, or Chicago.

We are looking for a Senior Project Manager, Design & Build. You will play a critical role in leading a team through planning, design and construction of Workplaces for LinkedIn. These highly intuitive, flexible and varied spaces will meet the needs of the expanding global business and allow our employees to do the best work of their career.

You will be responsible for scope, schedule, budget and reporting to leadership on projects ranging from refresh work to ground up construction and tenant improvements. You will be leading a cross functional group of external design and construction professionals as well as key internal stakeholders and subject matter experts throughout a project lifecycle from predesign through project First Day of Business and project closeout.

Responsibilities

  • Manages all facets of individual workplace capital projects including programming, design, construction, budget, schedule, quality and close out.

  • Partners with Real Estate to evaluate site due diligence.

  • Interfaces directly with internal partners and workplace leadership to define project requirements and ensure design addresses them accordingly.

  • Leads pre-construction activities, including obtaining all necessary permits, signoffs, and certificates.

  • Ensures construction activities are in compliance with all laws, rules, & regulations

  • Establishes project delivery resource requirements, cost estimate & budget, cash flow, schedule & milestones, and risk identification for projects. 

  • Develops all relevant documentation associated with the project management phases: Conception, Planning, Execution, Control, and Closeout

  • Engages ongoing with internal partners and workplace leadership to seek approval of project concept, drawings, and finishes at several stages of development.

  • Collaborates with multiple business partners including Real Estate, Workplace Operations, Global Productivity Engineering, Procurement, and Legal/Global Compliance to drive responsibilities and timely delivery of projects.

  • Tracks progress of each project against goals, objectives, approved budgets, approved timelines and proactively communicates status and variances.

  • Presents timely reporting, including project status, critical milestones, mitigation measures, budget forecasts, cash flow and variances.

  • Assesses change management needs of design and products and helps communicate them accordingly to internal customers.

  • Closes out all projects with exchange of proper documentation and drawings, transition of space ownership to Workplace Operations, fixed asset reporting, post-project performance evaluation, post-occupancy feedback from internal customers and recommendations for future projects.

  • 30-50% of domestic and international travel

Basic Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree in Engineering, Architecture, Project Management, Construction Management or relevant experience

  • 8+ years of engineering/construction project management experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with leading projects in excess of 400K square feet

  • PMP Certification

  • Master’s degree

  • LEED Certification in building design and construction, interior design and construction, building operations and maintenance

  • Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Visio, and AutoCAD/AutoCAD 3D

  • Financial management experience, specifically budget & cash flow planning, accrual accounting and reconciliation processes

  • Experience with Mechanical, electrical, plumbing & IT systems operations & alternative designs

The pay range for this role is $130,000 to $213,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
