Intuit Principal Technical Program Manager in Mountain View, California

Overview

Come join the Small Business Group - Product Development, as a Principal Technical Program Manager outcomes of the SBSEG organizations by driving for clarity among chaos and uniting cross-functional teams to operate with velocity. In this role you will drive and optimize delivery for the QuickBooks Online and Solopreneur organization, driving top growth and innovation outcomes for Small Business customers through your leadership of a team of program managers doing the best work of their lives.

What you'll bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; advanced degree preferred

  • Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team

  • Strong program management skills, including demonstrated ability to think end-to-end, lead long-term programs, and to manage multiple programs simultaneously within a program portfolio

  • Strong technology background, preferably software development experience

  • Demonstrated experience connecting disparate groups across an organization to accelerate outcomes

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a matrix environment, and ability to influence at all levels to build strong partnerships across

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to executives and non-technical leaders

  • Agile training and experience preferred

How you will lead

Portfolio

  • Experience collaborating with executive leadership team

  • Ability to quickly come up to speed and program manage the SBSEG QuickBooks Online and Solopreneur portfolio high priority deliverables independently

  • Demonstrate an operational mindset, to identify and/or simplify portfolio level processes enabling the org to operate with ease

  • Understand the technology landscape and connect the dots across key pillars to simplify the ‘why/what/how’

  • Lead and motivate a team of 4-5 individuals, providing leadership and support to enable their professional growth and development

  • Partner with the SBSEG QuickBooks Online and Solopreneur Leadership Team to unblock/guide program teams’ delivery

  • Become an established leader with cross-functional leaders (Product/Engineering/Design)

  • Mitigate risk and solve problems through innovative ideas and solutions

  • Strategic problem solving skills, with an ability to easily identify areas of opportunity to streamline

  • Ability to collaborate with ease

Program

  • Develop a program structure and drive a program operating cadence to bring together technically complex, cross-organizational teams.

  • Drive creation of program roadmaps and execution plans across all phases of planning, development, and production readiness and launch.

  • Collaborate with leaders in executive teams, product management, engineering, and other groups to achieve program goals

  • Quickly pinpoint and resolve critical issues/risks. Clearly communicate actionable solutions, striking an effective balance between business needs and technical limitations.

  • Share executive level program status, risks, dependencies, and change control information across the organization and at all levels.

  • Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels leading to quick decisions
