We are seeking an experienced and visionary Global Design and Construction Leader to join our dynamic and innovative tech company. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end all aspects of our global design and construction projects; ensuring that they align with our strategic objectives, are aesthetically consistent with our brand standards and creatively inspiring for our employees. What you'll bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Structural Engineering, or related field. Master’s degree would be a plus. Equivalent work experience will be considered

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the design and construction industry, preferably in the tech or related sector.

  • Strong leadership qualities and experience leading, developing, and growing

  • Proven track record of success in leading design and construction projects internationally from concept to completion.

  • Strong technical knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes, and proficiency in relevant design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp).

  • Excellent project management skills, including cost estimates, budget and schedule management, risk assessment, and team coordination.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to influence without authority, collaborative mindset and attitude.

How you will lead

Leadership and Strategy:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive global construction and design strategy that supports and aligns with the company's business priorities and real estate strategy.

  • Lead and inspire a diverse team to deliver industry leading innovative workplaces globally, seamlessly

  • Establish and monitor project management frameworks, tools and methodologies to drive efficient and effective project delivery.

Project Management:

  • Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of construction projects, from conceptual design through completion, ensuring they meet quality, budget, and timeline

  • Oversee the planning, design, and construction of all company facilities, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality

  • Develop and maintain a rich database of project information and benchmarking for constant reference and guidance in decision making with a mindset of constantly seeking opportunities for ‘best industry practice’

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including real estate, finance, and operations, to ensure alignment of construction and design initiatives with overall business

  • Work closely with internal teams such as real estate, workplace & facilities, engineering, IT/AV, security, EHS, finance, and operations to align construction and design efforts with broader company objectives.

  • In partnership with the workplace business partner and workplace, own the

  • end-to-end engagement process with our business unit and employees throughout the design and construction cycle of the project.

  • Lead and implement Operational Excellence initiatives to improve end-to-end project delivery

  • Provide regular updates to executive leadership on project progress, risks, and strategic opportunities.

Innovation and Sustainability:

  • Champion and drive innovative, customer-centric construction and design practices, integrating cutting-edge technologies and sustainable approaches to minimize environmental impact.

  • Ensure all projects comply with relevant regulatory requirements and industry

Vendor and Partner Management:

  • Establish, own and maintain strong relationships with external partners, including contractors, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.

  • Negotiate contracts and manage vendor performance to ensure delivery of high-quality services and materials.

  • Set SLAs, SOPs, and objectives for improving team performance and KPIs for vendor performance management.

  • Conduct QBRs and vendor scorecards ratings to efficiently manage vendors and report up to management on performance and accomplishments.
