Intuit Manager 2, Software Engineering in Mountain View, California

Overview

Come join Intuit’s Identity platform team as a Software Engineering Manager. We are bootstrapping a new initiative within Identity organization, and you have an opportunity to be a founding member. We are building a large customer network to unlock meaningful connections between our customers and businesses that help grow small businesses and make ends meet for people.

At the heart of it is a set of platform capabilities such as identity verification, KYC/KYB, identity resolution, Similarity Detection, Search and Recommendations, Knowledge Graph etc.In addition to unlocking new connections, these capabilities will also power use cases such as fraud prevention, compliance, personalized recommendations and seamless experience for our customers across the Intuit ecosystem.

This is a new and fast-growing initiative within Identity organization. You will have a chance to influence the strategy and shape the vision. What you'll bring

  • BS/MS in Computer Science or related field.

  • Passion for technology with a minimum of 6-7 years of software development with experience in modern distributed systems.

  • Preference for domain knowledge of identity or knowledge graphs or ML.

  • Demonstrated experience leading positive change, empowering people, cultivating product technology visions and innovative solutions, and fostering effective engineering teams.

  • Ability to think and act strategically for all stakeholders. Adept at articulating the product vision and driving the future roadmap with strong business acumen.

  • Organizational competencies and project management skills to keep projects, processes, and the entire engineering team on track in a distributed global engineering ecosystem.

  • Self-motivated attitude with the ability to multitask and thrive in a timeline-driven environment.

  • Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills with expertise in distilling complicated topics to a broader audience.

  • Experience with Agile software development.

  • Lead and grow a high performing engineering team to deliver platform capabilities at scale with engineering and operational excellence built in.

  • Instill and drive software engineering standards and best practices with the team to maximize engineering excellence and developer productivity

  • Employ strong business and technical acumen to guide the team (customer obsession, strategic thinking, asking the right questions, sweating the details).

  • Create shared vision, build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships with partners and stakeholders.

  • Partner with Product Management to understand requirements, prioritize tasks, and incorporate new features into existing products

  • Build a culture of Innovation, technical and operational excellence on the team.

  • Develop business cases for developing new capabilities and conduct resource estimation to justify spending for new capabilities.
