Matternet Business Operations Intern in Mountain View, California
Matternet designs, builds, and operates autonomous drone networks that enable ultra-fast, low-cost, and zero-emission package delivery. We are looking for an intern to take over the responsibilities of an employee on leave from October through December, and assist with additional tasks related to the launch of Matternet's drone delivery service in Mountain View, CA and beyond.
As a Business Operations Intern, you will assist in important business matters such as real estate and insurance, manage office vendors, and maintain the beauty, functionality, safety and security of Matternet's offices. This internship offers a fantastic opportunity to get your foot in the door at a promising technology company, gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced startup environment and contribute to the launch of sustainable drone delivery programs around the world. No day will be the same, and if successful, you will be eligible for a long term position on the Operations team.
You Will:
Handle interim business operations responsibilities including greeting visitors to the office, managing NDAs and other administrative tasks, purchasing office supplies, managing office vendors, and leading collaboration with real estate and business insurance brokers
Contribute and implement ideas for enhancing operational efficiency across the business
Plug in to various departments to help where needed
Requirements
2+ years experience in business administration, operations or a similar role
Strong analytical skills with a passion for problem-solving
Proficiency in Google Workspace (Gmail, Google Calendar, Drives, Sheets and Docs)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
Interest in taking on a broad range of responsibilities
Great Additions:
Previous startup experience
BA/BS Degree
Experience with project management methodologies
Interest in emerging technologies, particularly in the drone space
Work Conditions:
This is an in-person internship located at our HQ in Mountain View.
Some local travel may be required on short notice.
Occasional need to lift up to 30 lbs
Benefits
Compensation in SF Bay Area: $23.50/hr - $25.50/hr
