What You’ll Do:
Assemble, disassemble and/or modify systems by changing, removing, replacing or upgrading aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement changes.
Oversee assembly, disassembly or overhaul.
Configure aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment.
Troubleshoot complex pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components.
Perform validation/verification testing of systems and components.
Document procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance (e.g., repairs, test results, applicable modifications and inspection results).
Inspect components and verifies repairs for flight worthiness requirements.
Work under general direction.
Able to perform connector terminations including shielded wires, coaxial cables, and fiber optic wiring
Fabricate and modify aerospace products according to specifications. Performs tasks associated with the safe handling of an aerospace vehicle.
Perform efforts associated with sealing, wrapping, bonding, tying, and closure of wire harnesses and cables in accordance with standard processes
What You’ll Need:
Ability and understanding of routing instructions and handling of harnesses.
Demonstrates the capability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical orders, process specification, and retrofit requirements to perform Electrical modification/repair.
Experience with terminations of multiple type connectors and contacts
Minimum of 3 years' experience with Avionics and/or Electrical systems
Experience installing aircraft modifications to include fabricating and installing aircraft electrical system wiring, connectors, electrical components or avionics boxes
F-15 maintenance experience
Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma/GED combined with 4 + years of relevant work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
