Requisition Summary The candidate will perform vibration testing, component level lab projects, outside vendor consultation including data collection and perform testing on projects of significant scope. You will act as a lead/mentor/trainer to junior personnel. Activities are focused on testing for soundness of technical judgment, results, and products objectives have been achieved. Division Information The PACCAR Technical Center provides engineering excellence to the truck, engine, and winch divisions of PACCAR Inc through innovative product development and testing. The Technical Center is located in the Skagit Valley about 65 miles north of Seattle, Washington. Job Functions / Responsibilities Designs/review fixtures and specifies instrumentation, equipment, vehicles, loading configurations, and data processing techniques. Plans, coordinates, and conducts vibration projects of significant scope with minimal supervision. Develop existing and improved test methodologies Participates in set up of tests, verifies that test equipment and instrumentation equipment meet specified requirements including FMEA\'s and design reviews Apply technical skills to develop and validate any test. Analyzes and discusses project requirements with requestors and formulates preliminary project plans, budgets and schedules. Participates in data collection, analysis, and RPC drive file development activities. Writes reports, as appropriate, incorporating results, conclusions, and recommendations Qualifications Experience with durability test methodologies and vibration analysis Ability to work well in a team environment. Excellent technical and communications skills. Ability to manage personal workload and willingness, flexibility and initiative to respond to shifting time and project demands. Proficient in RPC and FlexTest software and dynamic test methodology is recommended Fosters good communications, establishes and maintains cooperative and productive work relations with all other departments.
