Requisition Summary
The PACCAR Technical Center Mount Vernon office, is looking for an intern in the Vehicle Integration Validation group. The successful candidate will make technical contributions to the in-vehicle testing of the PACCAR Powertrain and vehicle software while gaining hands-on experience in hardware and software validation processes as part of the Vehicle Integration Validation department performing on-vehicle validation testing for PACCAR vehicles including engines, transmissions, and driver interfaces.
Job Functions / Responsibilities
Support Powertrain Controls Validation activities
Conduct associated on vehicle validation testing
Develop validation test plans
Manage test data
Analyze real world vehicle test data and report results
Qualifications
Excellent communication skills required
Excellent Microsoft Office skills required
Problem solving skills
Ability to thrive in a team environment
Education
Junior or senior in good standing towards an Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent degree.

Division Information
The PACCAR Summer Internship Program provides an opportunity to learn about PACCAR through a work assignment in Vehicle Integration Validation. Each intern will be integrated into division and department meetings, activities and events to ensure an understanding of PACCAR and our truck brands Kenworth, Peterbilt and DAF. You will have the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to our dynamic organization, while learning valuable engineering skills to add to your resume. At the end of your internship, you have the opportunity to present your accomplishments to your fellow interns and senior management. The Paccar Technical Center is a state-of-the-art facility dedicated to the development and validation of emerging technologies such as vehicle electrification and autonomous driving systems. Work with professional engineers on hands-on projects and learn state of the art technologies! The Paccar Technical Center is located in scenic Mt. Vernon, Washington north of Seattle and south of Vancouver, British Columbia.
The Vehicle Integration Validation department performs on-vehicle validation testing for PACCAR vehicles including engines, transmissions, driver interfaces, and battery electric drivetrains.
