Job Title: OBD Compliance Test Technician (GR 24) Requisition Summary The PACCAR Technical Center's Production Compliance team is seeking a technician to set up and perform On-Board Diagnostics (OBD) compliance tests. Testing is conducted working within a team of compliance engineers following established procedures, with results submitted to appropriate regulatory agencies. Division Information The PACCAR Technical Center provides engineering excellence to the truck, engine, and winch divisions of PACCAR Inc. through innovative product development and testing. The Technical Center is in the scenic Skagit Valley about 65 miles north of Seattle, Washington. Job Functions / Responsibilities Conduct engine and aftertreatment diagnostic demonstrations and other tests on heavy duty diesel trucks Install breakout boxes, failed parts, component fault simulation boxes, and other test equipment on test vehicles Follow test procedures and work closely with engineering staff to evaluate and improve test methods Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair test trucks and test equipment Perform in-vehicle and remote data collection Maintain detailed test records and process and project documentation Support other Compliance teams with test expertise as required Develop and maintain good communication and cooperative and productive working relationships with other departments Communicate with manager, peers, and internal customers on work progress and issues Support department continuous improvement initiatives Travel up to 15% required Qualifications Minimum 6 years' experience working in the diesel, heavy duty truck, or automotive industry Familiarity with engine diagnostics Ability to manage personal workload under potentially shifting time and project demands Effective verbal and written communication skills Strong computer skills Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment to accomplish goals Education Two-year degree in diesel/automotive technology or equivalent Paccar Benefits As a U.S. PACCAR employee, you have a full range of benefit options including: Competitive salary and 401k with up to a 5% company match Fully funded pension plan that provides monthly benefits after retirement Comprehensive paid time off - Minimum of 10 paid vacation days (additional days are provided with additional seniority/years of service), 12 paid holidays, and sick leave Tuition reimbursement for continued education Medical, dental, and vision plans for you and your family Flexible spending accounts (FSA) and health savings account (HSA) Paid short-and long-term disability program Life and accidental death and dismemberment insurance EAP services including wellness plans, estate planning, financial counseling and more Additional Job Board Information At PACCAR, we value talent and promot
