Job Functions / Responsibilities Implement, update, integrate, validate, and maintain DITA authoring and publication plugins and tools Develop and maintain XSLT DITA to PDF transforms that meet established style guide and publication requirements Validate code and debug code, report bugs and issues Gather requirements related to authoring and system inputs, such as XML data files Determine requirements for specialized DITA DTDs and DITA elements Collaborate with global documentation team to continually improve processes and content architecture Determine requirement for metadata for attributes and conditionals to publish content for a specific engine model and model year Author and edit DITA content and DITA maps following established information model Design content reuse and cross-referencing strategies Qualifications DITA or XSLT experience-Required Experience with industry-standard tools, with the ability to learn and adapt (such as ANT, Antenna House, Azure DevOps Pipelines, Git, Oxygen XML, Schematron, and XML) Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills Ability to work with engineers, developers, SMEs, stakeholders, and other PACCAR personnel in a deadline-driven system development environment Demonstrated initiative in innovating and implementing workflow, process, and technical solutions Ability to work independently, adhering to agreed schedule, and documentation priorities Proficient in Acrobat Pro and Microsoft Office products, especially Excel, Visio, and SharePoint Ability to adjust work schedule to accommodate different time zones as needed Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed Education BA/BS degree (Computer Science, Software Engineering, Technical Communications, or a related field) and 3 or more years related experience Paccar Benefits As a U.S. PACCAR employee, you have a full range of benefit options including: 401k with up to a 5% company match Fully funded pension plan that provides monthly benefits after retirement Comprehensive paid time off - Minimum of 10 paid vacation days (additional days are provided with additional seniority/years of service), 12 paid holidays, and sick time Tuition reimbursement for continued education Medical, dental, and vision plans for you and your family Flexible spending accounts (FSA) and health savings account (HSA) Paid short-and long-term disability program Life and accidental death and dismemberment insurance EAP services including wellness plans, estate planning, financial counseling and more Additional Job Board Information At PACCAR, we value talent and promote growth and development.
