We are looking for a Market Development Specialist to drive increased clinical utilization of our oncology products with healthcare providers. You will accomplish this as a 100% virtual salesperson. As a part of our Commercial Sales Team, the Market Development Specialist will align their sales plans to grow our division’s most important commercial business initiatives. You will grow your business through a national, initiative-based approach – focusing on specific customer growth opportunities that are prioritized based on current business needs.

A day in the Life:

  • Educate healthcare providers on how our products may improve clinical outcomes.

  • Develop and grow market share based on select growth initiatives.

  • Advise medical office staff on how to properly order and interpret tests.

  • Utilize Salesforce.com to accurately and effectively track activity and update leads, accounts, and opportunity information, as well as sales pipeline with a focus on business growth.

  • Work neutrally with reference laboratory and health system counterparts to identify key targets and secure appointments with offices for virtual product presentations.

  • Customize innovative solutions, leveraging all resources within The Binding Site to meet business needs that can be scalable and reproducible.

  • Support health systems and reference labs with new test menu rollouts, instrument funnel acceleration.

  • Willing to extend availability, offering product expertise to support online virtual meeting requests.

  • The Market Development Specialist will discuss customer feedback with Marketing and Operations Team members to uncover existing business limitations and work toward solution delivery.

  • Facilitate meetings for training purposes among internal constituents and external influencers such as lab customers, providing product information updates, and sharing field intelligence information.

  • Ability to travel, sometimes requiring overnight stays for national, regional, or local team meetings.

Keys to Success:

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required.

Experience

  • Minimum three years' commercial experience in one or a combination of the following required: laboratory, diagnostic sales, medical device, oncology, or pharma sales preferred.

  • Proven track record of success.

  • Knowledge and experience with business software applications including MS Outlook Suite (Outlook, Word, Power Point, Excel,) and virtual communication tools like Microsoft Teams.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders without direct authority.

  • Experience and ability to build and maintain cross-departmental, multi-functional and collaborative relationships.

  • Knowledge of/exposure to primary care market or ACOs, IDNs, and health systems.

  • Prior experience with Salesforce.com or similar CRM and the ability to use a tablet to record activities and present resources to accounts.

  • The employee will be required to stand and/or walk up to 5 hours a day and sit for up to 8 hours a day; use hands to handle or feel objects including keyboard and telephones.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $83,300.00–$125,000.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
