We have a Contract opportunity with a leader in the medical device manufacturing industry for an Engineering Technician.

Requirements:

• A High School diploma or equivalent

• An associate's Degree is highly desirable.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an electrical field.

responsibilities:

• Conducts teardown and destructive testing as part of the product development process, verifying and validating proposed changes to existing products.

• Participates in product failure analysis, suggesting design improvements based on observation and test results.

• Sets up various electrical, mechanical, and electronic equipment, including environmental chambers and product-specific test equipment.

• Designs and documents testing configurations and setups, creating comprehensive test reports.

• Demonstrates an understanding of electromechanical systems and the ability to identify mechanical, electrical, or system abnormalities.

• Possesses hands-on instrumentation and data acquisition experience.

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, with strong verbal, writing, and organizational skills for record-keeping and data provision.

• Background with measurement test equipment and working knowledge of pneumatics.

• Capable of reading and interpreting engineering drawings and schematics.

• Familiarity with mechanical gauging instruments such as micrometers, calipers, force gages, dial indicators, and hardness testers.

• Experience in testing to verify compliance with environmental requirements (shock, vibration, thermal, humidity, electromagnetic, etc.) is advantageous.

• Knowledge of PLC, Ladder Logic, and Micro-controllers is a plus.
