ROLE: Controller

LOCATION: Mt Prospect

DESCRIPTION:

• Manage AP/AR Team and Accounting Manager (3 people)

• Handle Closing and Taxes

• Month End Close

• Budgeting

• Financial Statement Prep

• Elliott ERP System (Run financials)

• MS Excel (Reporting Package)

SOFTWARE: Will utilize ERP, advanced Excel.

Role Overview:

We seek a detail-oriented and experienced Controller to oversee our financial management functions. This role includes managing a small team responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable, and accounting management. With a direct impact on our financial health and strategic planning, the Controller will ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all financial activities for our $35M revenue operations.

Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of three, including the AP/AR team and the Accounting Manager, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.

• Manage the entire financial closing process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.

• Oversee all tax preparations and filings, maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

• Conduct month-end close activities, including reconciliations and financial statement reviews.

• Lead budgeting and financial forecasting efforts, collaborating with department leads to align financial planning with strategic objectives.

• Prepare and present financial statements, ensuring comprehensive reporting on financial performance.

• Utilize Elliott ERP System for financial management, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.

• Develop and manage financial reports using MS Excel, providing critical data and insights for decision-making.

• Ensure financial policies, procedures, and controls are in place and followed, aligning with company goals and compliance requirements.

  Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or Master’s degree preferred.

• A minimum of 5 years of financial management experience, with proven leadership capabilities.

• Strong expertise in using Elliott ERP System and advanced proficiency in MS Excel.

• Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Demonstrated ability to manage deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.

• Commitment to maintaining high accuracy and attention to detail.

• Must be able to work onsite full-time.

  Requirements

MUST HAVES:

• Understand cost accounting, bill of materials

• Inventory analysis

• Advanced Excel- they do all their reporting using Excel

• Strong communication skills across all levels of an organization

• Degree in accounting or related field

• Stable background
