Description You might be the full-time Staff Accountant Robert Half is looking for, if you're interested in becoming a critical part of an innovative Hospitality company. You might be a good fit for this Staff Accountant position if you can prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation. This role's duties include internal reporting during the monthly close, participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules reporting processes. This Mount Pleasant, South Carolina area-based position is a challenging, multi-faceted opportunity to work for a company that recognizes and rewards hard work. What you get to do every day

• Manage reconciliation, depreciation, and fixed asset ledgers

• Participate in various department-wide initiatives

• Maintain intercompany transactions, billings, and reconciliation

• Produce analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for reporting by management

• Arrange schedules for capital lease and monthly payments

• Impromptu reporting and special projects, when requested

• Regular maintenance and reconciliation of journal entries

• In-depth knowledge of reconciling month end balance sheet accounts

• Perform month end close, journal entries, with minimum supervision

• Assemble journal entries and thorough account reconciliations that include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll

• Assist with the month end, quarter end and year end closing process by preparing monthly financial close workbooks

• Organize and review various financial data, then report it in a manner that is useful and understandable

• Contribute to the implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP Requirements

• Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills

• BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics

• Property accounting experience desired

• High attention to detail and possesses excellent organizational and writing skills

• Recent and relevant accounting experience

• Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills

• Competent with spreadsheets and databases

• Experience with ERP systems

• Proficient with spreadsheets and databases

• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment, to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent

• Dedication and requisite skills to meet critical business deadlines

• Notable analytical, quantitative and social skills
