Position Summary:

A part-time fixed term lecturer position beginning August 2024. This is a one-year appointment. Teaching area will be determined by applicant's area of expertise but focus primarily on studios and classes with digital components.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or three years of industry experience. • Ability to teach lower-level design studios, strong manual and visual communication skills. • Competent user of industry software. • Ability to provide face-to-face instruction. • Ability to perform the essential duties of the job, with or without accommodations.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Interior Design or closely related field. • Ability to teach upper-division interior design undergraduate courses. • Fluency in industry software including Revit. • Fluency in Adobe Creative Cloud software for digital visualizations and presentation.

The Department of Fashion, Interior Design, & Fashion offers a bachelor's degree in Interior Design. The program serves approximately 120 majors and minors with well equipped classrooms, studio space, and CAD lab.
