Position Summary:

Central Michigan University, an FBS member of the Mid-American Conference, is seeking applicants for a Head Wrestling Coach. Position is a full-time, 12-month appointment with full benefit package. Salary is commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities include the direction of a successful program; planning and administering all aspects of the wrestling program: coaching, recruiting, compliance, fiscal management, and public relations; directing the CMU sports camp program; and being directly involved with fundraising and university development initiatives. The Head Coach is responsible for working within a prescribed budget, identifying and recruiting athletically and academically talented student-athletes, meeting fundraising expectations, community service engagement, and maintaining compliance with NCAA, MAC and CMU rules & regulations.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree • Three years college wrestling coaching and recruiting experience • Budget management experience • Demonstrated leadership skills, ability to motivate student-athletes to be successful academically and athletically • Knowledge of and commitment to following NCAA rules and regulations • Proven integrity, leadership skills and ability to motivate student- athletes to be successful academically and athletically • Effective verbal and written communication skills • Ability to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable acommodations

Preferred Qualifications:

• Division I wrestling coaching and recruiting experience • Five or more years' experience coaching
