Richmond Community Services Staff Accountant in Mount Kisco, New York
Under the supervision of the Accounting Manager, the Staff Accountant makes journal entries to the General Ledger (G/L), analyzes various accounts, and prepares regular and as-needed analysis and reports. Responsible to act as back-up to Client Accounts, Payroll and Accounts Receivable positions. Provides internal control support and audit functions. Prepares bank reconciliations and acts as support for Controller and CFO, as assigned.
Essential Job Functions
Prepares analysis of G/L accounts as assigned, scheduled and/or requested
Prepares journal entries as required and/or assigned for general ledger posting
Oversees and processes Finance-related H-1B staff documents
Generates reports as assigned, scheduled and/or requested
Tracks and maintains control of Grant Income and Expenses
Performs Internal Control functions as assigned
Performs Accounts Receivable aging review and follow-up
Generates check requests as required and/or assigned
Acts as back-up to Accounts Receivable Coordinator to insure timely billing
Acts as back-up to Client Accounting Clerk to insure timely processing of resident activity
Performs other accounting functions for the Finance Department as required
Performs other related job duties or responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
BS degree in Accounting or comparable experience preferred
Four years relevant accounting experience (previous healthcare experience in a not-for-profit environment preferred
Pay starting from $24.73 to $27.85, pay commensurate based upon experience.
